Julie Nguyen has a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies and Asian Research (2004) from the University of British Columbia. She was a consultant for the United Nations in Vietnam in 1997, a research associate at the Centre for Southeast Asia Research at UBC (1996–99), conducted her SSHRC post-doctoral research at the Asian Institute, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and taught courses in Political Science and Asia-Pacific Studies at the University of Toronto and UTSC (2005–10). Her most recent publication is The Black Race by Ho Chi Minh and Selected Works on Systemic Racism (2021). Dr. Nguyen is currently a professor of International Business in Toronto, and a director at the Canada-Vietnam Trade Council.

Sophia Leong is Global Advisor on Executive Development for Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance. She was previously Executive Director of Telfer Executive MBA program and Executive Advisor on Development and International Relations at the University of Ottawa, and successfully led the program to achieve two consecutive #1 global position, ranked by CEO Magazine. Prior to academia, she was Vice President Business Development and co-founder of Klocwork; and successfully exited from two technology start-ups. She has extensive strategic and management experience, and a recipient of numerous awards for outstanding contribution at Nortel Networks and Nortel Technology. Sophia currently serves as director/advisory board member of a few start-ups and a board member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (International).

Arvind Vijh is the director of Deloitte Canada’s ASEAN and India services group. His experience with Fortune 500 companies includes key roles in manufacturing, life sciences and energy & resources sectors in the Americas and India. He is an active member of the Canada India Business Council and the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce.
