Royal Thai Embassy, Ottawa – On 10 August 2021, Ambassador Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, in his capacity as the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO), hosted an event to celebrate the 54th ASEAN Day at Wisma Indonesia. Assistant Deputy Minister Paul Thoppil of Global Affairs Canada attended the event as the guest of honour.
Ambassador Kallayana and Assistant Deputy Minister Thoppil spoke about the close and cordial ties between ASEAN and Canada and how we must continue to work closely together to address the immediate challenges from COVID-19 and to work towards a sustainable post-pandemic recovery.
